Oracle
A flagship double-deck booth with hospitality at its core
Oracle is one of the largest companies in the world, with a cloud service that rivals Microsoft and AWS and a fast-growing market ownership. We’ve worked with them for several years across their various divisions – including hospitality, retail, technology, sports and finance – to deliver dozens of stands around the globe.
ITB Berlin is the world’s largest tourism trade show, and for 2023, Oracle was ready to make a statement. It was the first time the show had run since 2019, and in that time, the travel market had changed considerably. That’s where our double-deck stand came in, letting Oracle showcase its industry leading travel technology and provide visitors with world-class hospitality.
Oracle was looking for a high-end appearance, something that would match a distinguished hotel lobby. However, at its core, it also had to host a considerable amount of demo stations, as well as include co-exhibitor spaces for priority partners such as Duve and Adyen, so we worked closely with Oracle to determine how best to use the space.
We determined that a double-deck booth would be the best option, letting the Oracle team maximise the space they had without making the booth feel overcrowded. The top deck of the booth was ideal for VIP demonstrations and to showcase pre-launch content, giving Oracle the ability to host important delegates.
The space itself at the show was difficult to work with – it was occupied by a large service column, which required access at all times. We built the stand around it to disguise it, while keeping the elegant look and feel Oracle was looking for.
Oracle was also keen to bring the personality of its host city into the stand, so we made sure there was space for a Berlin Bear, which Oracle had commissioned especially for the show. The bear would later join other bears on a trail around the city, which presented a unique logistics challenge for our team!
Our innovative design meant that Oracle won an award for the Best Travel Technology Stand at the show, beating 484 other companies to claim the top spot, as well as making the top 10 overall.
