For ICE Barcelona, the brief was to create a high-impact single-storey environment capable of standing out on one of the gaming industry’s busiest show floors. A substantial rigged structure incorporated wraparound LED screens and an LED sphere, supported by large-scale AV, demo stations and premium meeting space. A client-supplied Plinko-style activation added another interactive element, while bespoke finishes ensured the environment maintained the quality established across the wider exhibition programme.
The challenge
Complexity above and below the surface.
Bringing together large-scale AV, rigged elements, demonstrations, meeting space and experiential activity demanded careful planning and close coordination. Formation worked extensively with the client throughout the development process, from regular digital and in-person meetings through to detailed material sign-off. A dedicated factory visit to Formation’s Poznań facility gave the client the opportunity to review build quality and material choices firsthand before installation began.

ICE Barcelona continued the creative direction established through the wider relationship while adapting it for a very different venue and audience. Extensive collaboration before the show allowed design ambition, technical complexity and finish quality to be resolved well ahead of installation.
